Ochre Pits, Inarlanga Pass and Ormiston Gorge

More wonder as we continued west. Ochre Pits, as the name suggests is where local people got their ochre for ceremonies and initiation. We did the 8km return walk into Inarlanga Pass, as suggested by KK and Jen and it was a good walk.

An attempt to get to Roma Gorge ended in us turning around after 3 of the 8km of river rock track – we’ll never know what we missed.

Ormiston Gorge was a highlight with its massive hills and Gorge. The Ghost Gum Walk was fantastic at early light. As always the light is everything!
